What College Degree Would Be Good For A Game Designer ?
| Game design is a great career. Like any career, you can not be successful overnight. Some people think that you can just come up with a game idea, sells it, and retires in their early twenty. The chance of that happen is smaller than winning a lottery. If you want to be a game designer, you have to do the work. Game industry is very competitive. It is not easy to get your feet wet in the industry. |

So what college degree would be good for a game designer? If you are serious about becoming one, you need to get a four year college degree. Two years associated degree or internet degree may not help you much, because game industry is very competitive. Pick major that is interesting to you. It does not matter what you decide to major in. College degree just proves that you have what it takes for hard work, overcoming problems, and surviving. If you can get into computer related major like computer science, graphic designer, or digital arts, it would be even better. Nowadays you can even major in game design. If you can’t get into computer related major, it does not matter much. Just get a degree.
